Life of Pi is a hard book to explain. I’ve tried several times, and in the end, I always defer to, “You have to read it to understand.”
Now a movie is on the way and it looks like Ang Lee has made a visual masterpiece.
I’m very much into tigers, so I was particularly taken by Yann Martel’s imaginative interpretation of a relationship between a boy and a tiger on a boat upon the open sea, trying to survive long enough to find land. It’s a crazy interesting story, though a bit confusing at the end.
Of course, I highly recommend reading the book, but the trailer is amazing, and I hope the movie answers some of the questions I have about the story.
