My friend Eilene is a kind of rock goddess. She has been the person who hung out with rock stars since we were scrawny teenagers, and not as a groupie, but because she’s super cool and people want to hang out with her. She worships rock-n-roll from the purest place, and respects musicians with an appreciation they truly deserve. And it’s kind of funny that I just posted my music appreciation piece and mentioned the kind of rock I can’t understand, because she does understand it. She understands it and she loves it!
No longer a scrawny teenager, Queen Eilene is a college graduate and music journalist extraordinaire! I’ve written about her before, but unfortunately she lost her original site to a cyber squatter. I know it was devastating for her, but she’s back with a new blog at this url: http://itsokimwiththeband.wordpress.com/, and it’s going to be better than ever!
I hope you’ll help me welcome her back because she truly is the rockinest chick I know!

This site is dedicated to photography, watercolor art, knitted things and my Francophile tendencies. I also post light technical support ideas for neat web design tricks and fixes, and I have been known to occasionally rant about nonsense.
The company name is Don’t Brake My Art. A command and a cute turn of phrase.
Okay Cyber Babe, what is a “cyber squatter” for us cyber illiterates.
And, can anybody help?
I keep getting these pop-up windows for something like “CafeMom” and you have won our monthly contest (which I seem to win 2 or 3 times a day). I changed my Internet Explorer Home Page thinking they might have been associated with the old Home Page. I’ve de-fragged, compressed and deleated files on Disk Clean-up. I’ve gone to Tools/Internet Options Browsing History and deleted “Cookies” etc…
And still I get this Pop-up windows stuff. Is there a way to click “Ctrl C” on a pop-up address and then paste it somewhere on a “I don’t ever want to hear from these motherfuckers again list?”
@Lydia: I did add Eilene to my favorites under “Music.”
lol Okay, a cyber squatter is someone who buys and sits on domains they think other people will need. Eilene made the mistake of not renewing her domain in time, and a cyber squatter bought it so that she would pay more for it directly from him. In their email exchanges he expressed not giving it up because he suspected it would become very popular. So, along those lines, basically.
Here are a few links, though I hope they don’t have pop-up ads. I didn’t get any through Safari. But I would suggest you download Firefox because most people who have IE issues prefer Firefox. When I worked on a PC I finally downloaded Firefox, and then I wouldn’t touch IE after that. Firefox has a more straightforward interface in ways, and I think it has a spot where you just select the pop-up blocker. Easy peasy!

Yeah, it appears that the second link is the better link because it offers straightforward instruction for pop-up blocker in IE 6.0, earlier versions of IE, Firefox (also explaining that Firefox has it’s own pop-up blocker), netscape and Opera. Firefox is by far the superior browser. I use Safari and Firefox interchangeably and really love Safari. I do believe you can download and use Safari on PC’s, as well, but I still recommend Firefox.
Okay, we’ll see.
Thanks, you’re so sweet. Just one of the many reasons I love you so much. I am working on trying to post up all of my back issues of articles & the articles from the other publications I have written for. After I get caught up, I will start posting new stories with great artists.
I, personally, can’t wait!!
Awww, thanks! Can you put your banner back up in my side bar of the new page? You still have my pass word. The Fuk Dolls interview too!
Done!
