The Doug & Lydia Show: What is Important?

Posted by Lydia Lee on Apr 26, 2012

Doug and I talk about news and what is important about the news that is delivered. For instance, is wondering whether or not Ashley Judd’s involvement in a Funny or Die video mocking Rick Santorum a bad career move really important? What about speculation over Obama eating dog meat at age six in Indonesia and Mitt Romney  making his dog sick during a car trip years ago? Or Mel Gibson delivering yet another rant in the privacy (or in this case not) of his own home?? Maybe not so much.

What we know absolutely IS important is that Tony Gamble get better. Tony is our friend and he just released another album entitled Echoes in the Silence. He’s also battling a rare disease. One in two million people get Prothrombin Factor II, a blood disease that comes with a lot of complication. He needs many things, including any help you can give him by way of donations.

The link to his donation page is here. Also show your support by buying Echoes in the Silence through iTunes, CD Baby, Amazon.com, etc…, and also check out Tony’s YouTube Channel, and FaceBook Fan Page!

Many more things are discussed and two of Tony’s songs off the new album are played, so tune into our latest installment of “The Doug & Lydia Show”!

And now for Ashley Judd’s Funny or Die video (lol):

That Funny or Die video was absolutely one of the best satires I have seen in this Great Economic Downturn of the Cyber Age!

I thought the video was quite funny. Honestly I could care less about what Obama ate when he was younger; people in Asia eat weird things. Grow up. So what if Romney endangered his dog’s life by strapping his dog (in a carrier) to the roof of his car. It just means he’s a horrible pet owner.
And if Mel Gibson wants to give the writers of South Park another reason to make a show about him, who am I to argue.

Lastly, if you hadn’t posted a link to Tony Gamble’s donation page, I would’ve suggested doing so. :)

“And if Mel Gibson wants to give the writers of South Park another reason to make a show about him, who am I to argue.” LOL

Tony goes into surgery soon, actually. I’ll keep you posted on that.
