The Doug & Lydia Show: Has the world gone crazy?

Posted by Lydia Lee on May 10, 2012

Synopsis:

Doug and Lydia talk about Cinqo de Mayo and Americans celebrating what is basically a holiday around Mexico not wanting to honor a debt they owed to one of our allies; Coldplay covering a Beastie Boys’ song; the very important Change.org movement to see Bert and Ernie of “Sesame Street” get married; how religion serves to make war okay for economic purposes and other such craziness.

So, basically, over the course of an hour we answered the question with, ‘yes’ because the “world” (people) have always been crazy. :o

Beyond that we talked about Blackboard Jungle’s upcoming reunion show on June 2nd at The Roxy (tickets here), Doug’s latest installment of “Doing Sh!t with Doug” and I referenced a Mandy Lion article (last August, but still!), about the Change.org petition to see Sesame Street’s Bert and Ernie married in a “tasteful” way. Oh my…

Funny show. Times change, human nature doesn’t. :P
Lol.. I laughed at the bit where you said to Doug: “What are you doing? Why have you spread your legs like that? Are you going to swing your dick?” I nearly choked on my dinner.:P
Very funny ‘Doing Sh!t With Doug’ video too. Have you heard the old saying…99% of men masturbate, the other 1% are lying. :P

PS: I bet Mandy liked the “fuzzed out butt scene.” :) (Don’t tell him I said that…he will come and get me.)
    Oh, and Coldplay rock! :)

But not when they cover the Beastie Boys. BERT AND ERNIE WERE NOT EVER GAY!! I had a Muppets t shirt…I loved Beaker. :)

Hahaha!!! Love The Muppet Show! Bwahahaha!!

Doug and I caught the Coldplay version of TBB song and Doug said, “This is horrible. … And why is it still on!?”

The only non-rap musician that should ever cover a rap song is Weird Al. :P
